Myself, my other 1/2 and josh stokley made a run on our lease in nome. We dropped close to where we caught a good boar last weekend and that was all she wrote. I dropped slick, skeeter and my pup bud and it didnt take em long. They had a solid bay roughly 300yds from the buggy,we eased in and caught boar#1. He wasnt messed up so we cut and turned him.

Josh and danielle walked the dogs to the buggy and slick and buddy decided to go bay another 1 before they loaded em up so i started easin to em again. Got to the bay and saw 4-5 hogs wadded up and as i got close they broke. I holler back to danielle to turn everything loose because the hogs that left were all decent sized. 1 sow didnt make it out and i got her caught, josh made it to me just in time to hear another bay start so he headed to his dogs, camo junior and smurf. I marked and turned the sow back loose and headed to josh...... all of the sudden the damn sow back doored me and bit both my legs then took off...... ruined my much boots Grin

I get to josh and he has a 120-130lb spotted sow caught, so we mark her and cut her loose. As soon as i got to to josh my slick and skeeter dogs started bayin so we headed to them (steadily gettin farther from the buggy).

By the time we made it to the next bay the dogs had all been there for a while and tore up a nice boar hog. Sure wish we coulda barred him but it happens when you got 4 rough dogs on the ground and 2 rough puppies. We normally only run 3 at a time to keep it from happenin but o well.

The dogs rolled WAY out to over a mile and caught another big bred sow so we killed her and headed to the skinnin rack. Camo managed to catch a 20lb shoat on the way back. We picked everything up and called it good.

Pics to come.

Happy huntin

Justin looks like your dogs are working good, you been catching multiple pigs on the last several hunts. Good job and good hunt.

I still can't figure out who in the hell screamed like a little girl when that happened  Grin. I have been run up a tree more than once when turnin a boar loose but I have never turned a hog loose and literally walked 30+ yards away then had it run right up to me.......guess she didn't care much for the haircut I gave her  Grin. I was headed to the next bay and thank the good Lord it wasn't a big rank hog because I woulda more than likely been headed to the hospital. By the time I heard/saw her she was a couple feet from me. She ran up to me, bit both my boots, and dang near got me on my butt lol, I kicked that heifer like I was going for a 60yd field goal  Grin.........she managed to ruin one of my muck boots, if I woulda had a gun on me I woulda shot her purely outta spite..........I liked those boots!.......... next time I run into her she will get hers  Cheesy

Thanks, I appreciate it. To be honest my oldest dog is 2.5yrs old now, I lost my 2 "best" dogs smoke and granny this past year............ I really thought that I was gonna be in for a long year hunting wise after they both passed but so far I have been wrong.

The 2 littermate 2.5yr old dogs I am hunting now are both out of smoke and both are doing good but one of the two has stepped up big time, he is on pace to blow his daddy out of the water if he keeps up like he has been. I don't want to talk too good on him and curse him but if he keeps it up I really think he is gonna be something special, he is a clone of his daddy from the way he looks to the way he hunts even down to the way he holds himself on the buggy and around the house, just an all around good dog and a pleasure to work with.

The 2 9mth old littermate pups in the picture above with my buddy and the boar hog are both out of granny and a dog I purchased from some great folks a couple years back named camo. The pups have both only been in the woods a couple times and are both starting out great. I can't speak much about josh's pup "junior" the brindle as I haven't got to watch him much yet but my yella pup "buddy" has been going step for step with my slick dog baying and catching like a big dog and I couldn't ask for any more out of him at this point, he has a long way to go but if I can manage to keep him going and staying with slick I think he will have a pretty bright future himself..........time will tell.
