I saw a Catahoula with a coat like a boarder collie...only pup in the litter to turn out that way....Sire/Dam NALC. She came from lines that were "known" to throw a long haired dog from time to time. She was a heck of a competition bay pen dog.

Parker gyp I got. Her hair is long and tight, almost like a Chesapeake feel to it. She still has all the brindle trim, just harder to see.  Had her litter sister, and she was slick haired.

I have a Campbell pup here now has long haired but one of my best dogs some setter in the mix somewhere
