Hate to say it but it sounds like a large dose of bromethaline. Had a dog get into some and that was the same symptoms. Warfin can also cause that same symptoms.
Symptoms don't match up. He jumped into mama's truck so he wasn't stiff in that respect.  We will find out hopefully after necropsy

Just got report back from vet....gastroenteritis.  what ever that means.  Basically he was  drowning in his own drool and blood. That's what did him in. Also report a foreign object in his stomach but did not specified on what that was.  Money not well spent if you ask me. I have a concern and need some clarification.  I treat my dogs with ivermec. Once a month  might skip a month in winter... anybody treat HW prevention like this? And any side effects?

I treat with ivermec at .1 cc per 10 pounds. A 100 pound dog would get a full CC. Ive never noticed any side effects.  My vet even told me that it was safe to use like that.

Been using Ivomec ever since I've had dogs... that wouldn't have caused that.

Gastroenteritis is the medical term for vomiting and diarrhea. The foreign object is most likely the cause. Just my 2 pennies

i treat the .1cc per 10lbs of ivemec too and no issues. so i would bet it was something he picked up off the ground, it wasn't the hw treatment.
