Me and Slim9797 brought home two fullblood Cat pups from my cousin today. Supposed to have come from a badass cowdog sire. They are 8 weeks old and look pretty solid and bigger framed. Anybody had some good dogs come from Cathoula cow dog stock? How big do you think they'll be full grown?
I'll post some full body pics when I get some

I had a young male out of cow dog stock was baying the cows by the time brought him home at 8 weeks. I ain't never seen nothing like that. Well at 4 months I took him with me checking hog traps and about 100 lb boar got out. He ran him down and caught him and never seen a hog before. About a week later he ran under my tire while I was leaving. Talk about make you sick

Great lookin pups. Love the confirmation and ear on the male Merle leopard pup.
-
They will probably perform similar to their parents and grandparents on one side or the other.
-
Most of the bigger boned Catahoulas I have been around out of cow stock tend to be shorter ranged, stock minded dogs. They can really help you stop & catch hogs if trained & handled correctly. The ones I have been around are always on the verge of being bay busters. The intelligent ones are good help.
-
I know nothing about this line. They might be the best find dogs around! The tan female will probably be awesome since I like the male! Lol! Good luck with them!

Momma supposedly is rough but smart on cows. She ain't gonna strike a cow but it's her brains and ability once she's on the cows that Tyler(guy who bred thes dogs) likes her for he says. Daddy, like stump said, is supposedly a hard ass and a hellacious stock dog. Tyler never seen him work but had heard enough and seen two pups his friend has out of him that are jam up so he used him for the stud
