Great hunt today. My good friend Jeff flew down from Kentucky for a hunting weekend. We hunted on Thur. night and got blanked, but today was a different story. Rafter F went with us to Matador this morning and caught a nice little boar about 150lbs. Tonight we hunted a bunch of crop ground around Silverton. Dogs winded and ran up in a pasture and bayed, sent some catch dogs and the boar broke and ran a couple hundred yards and got smacked, we had Adora and Mija (my new Dogo female) and a couple of my friends Scott's bulldogs to catch. The boar was a real fighter but he was no match for the catch dogs. Jeff got to the boar first and grabbed a leg and stuck his first big boar. Boar weighed 218lbs with 2 1/4 cutters. Going back for more tomorrow, weather is perfect cold and damp lows near freezing.

I ran Uglydog,s new "Guardian Titan Shorty" on Adora today. After one day in the field my report is that it is an excellent vest, great protection and good mobility for the dog, thanks to Uglydog for another great product.

I agree with Paul, we had a great hunt today and had a lot of fun, caught two good hogs, and didn't get any dogs cut up.  But the best part of it for me, was todays hunt was the first one for my little girl.  She was kept out of harms way all day, but she did get to see her first hog baying in the wild.  She is three years old.  After the morning hunt, I went to pick up a pair of new pups from a friend, wound up getting three of them and she laid claim to the little female for herself.  Guess me and Paul got us another hunting partner!

Good looking dogs!

Sounds like a good hunt. Those 200 lb range hogs are always quick and tough.

Nice hunt Paul.  Always a good time when you can turn up a few pigs and not have to doctor dogs when you're done.  I'm sure ready. Lets get together for a weekend and do some more damage to those pigs up there or on some of my places.
