Like mike said if your dogs just set back and bay no need for the gear just hampering them. Now on the other side if dogs are very rough vest will save them and is worth the slight mobility loss jmo

Lief, I also run a cur x pit and I use a tejas outdoors vest on mine. Fits him very well, no rubbing. I use the short catch dog vest. Good protection, light and he doesn't get to hot in it. Been on enough good hogs to know it works. Also I like your dogs name, mine is named grizz as well. Let me know if you'd like to see pictures. Got plenty. Cornbro, any vest can be cut through if you meet the right hog. None are perfect. Plenty kinds that are good though.

Thanks Guys, I'm going to try to find someone with a bigger hog around me to work him on and see how he acts, water is up over here right now so I don't have any where to go right now to put them on pigs.

Every vest I have tried has had a cut that has went all the way thru but I look at it like if they didn't have the vest on dead dog. Vest do save dogs but they ain't a cure all

That's right... ANY VEST can be cut thru. I just shake my head when people start cussing and throwing a fit about different vest makers... because their's got a hole in it.
