went out to the new spot where we caught a couple last week, we wasnt there to long before both baydogs (doofus and boo) was baying in different directions, both are decent young dogs, but they havent figured out how to work together yet. hopefully with a new lacy i just got but didnt take yesterday so he can have a few days to get used to me helps one of em out.  we'll see.

the real problem was, some jackass was also on the property and apparently either looked through my truck or saw a business card on the dash and called jeff whos number is on the card saying they had the lease to the place and was wondering what we was doing there. well we decided to leave early and in a pretty bad mood, considering we thought we had permission from the landowner.

well the landowner calls daniel later and says no one should be there except us. and he wants us back because he wants the hogs gone. he was also wanting the peoples number so he could call them and try to find out whats going on. im still not sure if i even want to deal with the place anymore, considering i dont really care having some jerk looking through my personal property. to bad too, this place is covered up too.

this is basically a weekend home for these people, and im sure people are used to coming and going as they please on his property since he isnt home much.

anyone else ever had problems like this? and any suggestions on how to handle it?

go with the land owner. what they say goes. if you think there may be further problems get somthing in writing. its prtty easy. then when s.o b. gets smart just have landowner press criminal charges.

damn man that sux i had the same damn thing happen to me yesterday morning i was taking my dogs to a weat feild that hogs have been messing it up bad..as soon as my cur sam an codz bayed the hog up this guy pulled up an walked to my dogs an i was with them about to let the catch dog go an he said we needed to leave so i called the landowner an the landowner said keep huning an he will deal with the guy and he did so my suggestion is when someone does that to you again just get their number an call the landowner an give him their number..or just take matters into your own hands...

the thing that really pist me off was that the guy came up to me and my buddy holding a gun thinking he was going to shoot sum teenagers thats what really pist me off

Dont give up a good spot,, Git it in writing from the land owener, make a copy & put one on the windshield with you number and one in your pocket.. That will keep ALL BULL stoped (Game Warrdens & the average Joe)

We was hunting a pasture where they have precondition calves and the hogs was raping the feeders on a regular basis, turned out and was ata bay and heard honking coming from my truck then heard it start and  floored  the pedal forlong time and the old truck started banging out , i ran up there and the kid and his dad pulled guns on me tellig me i wasnt  aloowed in that pasture period i flopped out my letter from the owner and called him  to let him talk to them and that ended it on the way home the old chevy started knocking witha spun main and the property owner had it fixed and fired them both
what make it bad they knew me and my truck and knew what i was doing but was jealous cause we was doing what they couldnt do

I say keep hunting it, make sure you have written permission from the landowner on you so if it happens again you can solve it right there.

Always keep a good relationship with the land owners.  From what it sounds like you are working in the right direction.  Its thier property so what they say goes and, if what they want does not suite me then I dont need to hunt there.

Some times right before deer season starts i've run across deer lease hunters filling feeders who try to tell me I could not be on the place.  In some instances you get a new crop of deer hunters and they get upset because they have'nt figured out how things work on the place yet and dont know I've been hunting the place for years before they ever even knew it exsisted.  In those cases its tempting to tell it to them like it is but that usually just causes more trouble.  Some people think if they have a lease then they own the place when they all they really have is the deer hunting rights leased.  But its best not to feed ignorance with confrontation.  Just contact the land owner and see if you are still in the clear, and instruct them to do the same if they still have a problem.  My rule is if a place is leased to deer hunters then I don't hunt it during regular rifle season.  Some land owners tell me don't worry about the deer hunters or deer season just hunt but I know better. One in particular who has lots of places that he leases out he says they are a dime a dozen and almost not worth the trouble so if they give me trouble he will just get rid of them and probly have it leased out to other people the very next day.  He is a dog hunters best freind.  Grin

that sucks mate . i was gunna say keep a camera in your car running but if they look in your car they would probably take it ..  but the landowner wants you on there so thats a good thing these other people that were on there must be just jealous people cause your aloud on there and there tresspassers . i dont really no what to do but if it was around here i would deal with it in my own way which isnt a good way . but umm yea just keep good with the landowner and maybe you could have someone staying back at the car or cars when the rest go in . just take in turns doing that for a while and you might catch them out trying to do the same thing again.

problem solved, well somewhat, the caretaker of the place gave this guy permission to be there, when he didnt have the authority to do this, but, still happened. The landowner said he wants us back, the hogs gone, etc.

We said we're just gonna hunt the place at night until deer season is over, hate night hunting, but the place is to covered up, very good training grounds for young dogs (pretty much all we have now with the horrible summer we had on losing dogs) There is just to much traffic during the days, people coming and going as they please, might run some off after deer season, but right now, we're thinking idiots with guns, trying to shoot our dogs, us getting real pissed, possibly going to jail over, etc. lol
