Ok so I have been in bad need of updating my garmin and collars. I updated my handheld yesterday no problem however when i'm reading online about how to update the dc 40 collars it says to use the charger to plug the collar up to the computer........thats my problem, all of my chargers are wall chargers and there is no way to use em with my computer..........so im assuming im just SOL. Anyone know of any other way to update em or where I can buy a charger that I can use to update my collars?

See I swore that I had done it that way in the past but everything ive read on the web says different, apparently I was dreaming because I really thought that to update the collar you connected it to the handheld while it was connected to the computer but apparently I was wrong.

You have to update the DC 40's through the Astro 320 hand held...google "Garmin DC 40 updates". There will be several sites that can walk you through it.

As long as the hand held has been updated, you can update the 40's through the hand held without neither unit being connected to the computer. The sport dog site was very helpful.

Man I appreciate that, I knew that there was a way to do it but every time I searched on the internet I read sites telling me to plug in the collars. Im gonna see if I cant find the one you are talking about. I thought that was how I did it before but I really couldn't remember......been a while
