I agree with Kilawatts...but genetically if the pup looks just like Catahoula and acts like one then theoretically the pups has a higher percentage of Catahoula blood...just an example of what can really happen behind the seens...

there is less cat and bmc blood then that... and more mountain cur blood.....the crossed up dog is 1/4 bmc but its bred to a full blood mountain cur so thats 1/8 bmc blood.the crossed up dog is 3/8 cat but is bred to a full mountain cur thats 0.375 cat blood.  let me kno if im wrong Smiley

Breed out a little more of that cat and they should hunt.  Grin just kidding.  That's to much math for me.

Yup I don't think some of y'all are noticing that its 2 dogs crossed into the one dog then that dog is crossed over a full mountain cur. I was assuming he wanted to know the percentages of the pups from that cross.

It would be really bad if I didn't get it right lol! I do math all day at work. I don't think most people's math was bad, it was their reading comprehension that was lacking. Lol. No way a dog with some mountain cur already there gets crossed back to a full blood mountain cur and has less than 1/2 mountain cur.
