I picked up a bulldog the other day and his hair is real thin all over. Can allergies cause a dogs hair to thin out? Doesnt look like mange. Anything else?

If it is reddish or brownish around where he is losing hair, it may be fungus related or ringworm. Try to go to tractor supply and pick up a spray bottle of fung-away its like $10. Or if you can find some nu-stock it is good for regrowing hair on a dog. it is so effective folks joke that it could grow hair on concrete. the nu-stock seems to be effective against all kinds of skin problems. everything from fungus, ringworm, both kinds of mange, ear infections, its good for treating all kinds of stuff, but it stinks like sulfur.
