Has anybody ever had or seen a dog not be interested in a hog in the pen but would find and bay a hog in the wild?

Thanks fellas. Got a gyp that does descent. I put her in the pen to show pups how it's done and she did absolutely nothing. I was just curious.

Best dog I own won't hardly look at one in a pen but if you put her in the woods she loves her job. She was started in the woods never put her in a pen when I was starting her.

Yep, seen real good coon dogs that wouldn't bark at a caged coon either.

I have seen some excellent hog dogs that will not bay in a pen...I think it has to do with too much bay pen training...

Seen it go both ways. Woods dogs that wouldn't do anything in a pen and pen dogs that done nothing in the woods.

I really appreciate it fellas. I've been looking through for a few months now and hadn't posted but twice. I like how most everybody is willing to help someone else out. That shows alot about a person. I'm located in south carolina, give me a shout if ever this way.
