I went to the Liberty county fair last night to watch the ranch rodeo. A couple of guys from ETHD were competing. CWard and C.Miller.  Talk about some great entertainment... getting to see some pretty good hands in action, cows on the hook gunning for the guys on the ground.  Best rodeo entertainment I have seen by far.

Now if any of y'all want to be entertained... the San Jacinto County Fair (http://www.sjcfairandrodeo.com/site/SJCFair.asp?sid=597034997) is next weekend, and I will be competing with a couple other ETHD members.  Team East Texas Hog Doggers will be CWard, Catahoula_Cur, Chance's friend, and Circle C aka Gordo Pelon.   I figure I should spend the next week making sure my home and office are ADA compliant, as I am liable to spend the following weeks with a walker or a wheel chair Grin

Any other ETHD members compete in ranch rodeos?

Slim,

I can assure you I will not be the guy running the branding iron Grin   I just hope I don't take a hoof to the side of the head like one of the guys last night.

Grin to each his own, just make sure Mandi keeps the camera rolling.

Actually, you better find a stranger to run it so when the time comes, she can run to your aid/rescue, and the stranger can get that part on film. Wink

Very nice, I have seen J-dubs buckles from past events, that would be something worth driving to h-town to watch.  I really don't care to watch the singers anymore but that would be fun to watch.

I can't wait until next weekend! Catahoula_Cur is my husband, James Psencik. He is on Cward's (Chance) team. I'll be sure to take plenty of action pics to post on here. I wouldn't want to deprive yall from good entertainment. LOL Grin Shocked

Wish you all plenty of LucK! Hope yall draw some nice gentle critters to wrestle with!
I did a small womens ranch rodeo for two years in a row, and gave that stuff, I get too stiff in ahurry these days, but our team members were drawn the day before the event! 2nd place two years in a row, was good enough to retire on!
