June 26 was the last time I put my hands on a hog up until a few hours ago. Me, my little brother Robert, Tim and his girl, and will figured we'd go hit a spot tonight. 2,500 acres on the Colorado river. We've never come up empty there. About 10:30 kick out go to head to the hill. I told tim and will "woah, let's go run down this lane in between the cut corn and the cotton since we're right here anyways" so we head down that lane and we can see a heavy hog path. Get about 100 yards down the road and Will's Tig dog throws his nose up and all the dogs hook and book. 300 yards and we get some barks.
Must have been a good group cause dogs got strung out for a while. Soon enough all the dogs made it up around the hill and we'd get some barks, and then nothing, barks, then nothin. That went on for about a solid 1.5 hours all the dogs off on their own coloring in the Garmin on the hill. Finally my 11 month old pup pancho said to hell with this and stuck it to one. Will's Molly dog was right behind him and they fell bayed at 8-900. Will's Anne and Tig dogs get in there and man they were singing. Prettiest bay I've had the chance to listen to. We get to bottom of the hill, were 240 yards away and just listening to them blow the roof off the woods. Finally decided they were settled in on one and we cut weezy. Watched him get there on the Garmin, trucked it to the dogs. They had a nice sow caught(though she never made a single sound).
Leg it, let my brother get his first stick, go to check dogs and ole weezy must have ran into another hog cause he had a decent little poke in the front of his shoulder. Nothing major though, got him fixed up and spent the rest of the night watch Molly try to make it happen one more time. All in all the dogs busted their asses to get bayed on that sow and man it was fun to get back in the pigs. This little black pup of mine pancho might screw around and make a dog out of himself. my brother Robert with Will's Molly dog.

Oh I have some faith in him. He's all I got right now, and he does just fine for being right at a year old. He's about the coolest little dog. Lives in the house when I'm home, my momma loves him.
