"Bonnie" RIP.The little white dog My 2nd ever pig-dog. she was as hard as nails but her ease of training and awesome nose made her a pleasure to own. 20kg wringing wet but never backed down from even the biggest hog.

Welcome to the board. Nice hogs and dogs. A few very nice boars for sure. The Austrsilian finder/holder dogs are becoming popular here in the states. Very impressive dogs. How do you hunt your dogs? Sight hunt? Drop them on the ground in fresh sign? Cast them into the wind? Drop 1 at a time or more? Always love to hear about different styles of catching hogs.

I spent the first 8 years or so walking a couple of dogs in thick forest country chasing pigs foraging or bedded up. ordinary country and not a great deal of hogs but kept me busy and fit.
im now getting older and wiser (lazier) and have alot better properties with alot more hogs. i now hunt 2 dogs from the back of an atv or 2 or 3 dogs from the rear tray of my truck.
90% of my hunting is done at night or before dawn driving semi open hilly/mountain country letting the dogs scent from the tray. The dogs are free to leave the tray whenever they want .
