Hunted a wma quota hunt today my Birdy dog ended up getting out of pocket on a hog and got hit by a semi truck on the highway. He ran him for 4 hrs before he got hit when I finally got close to him he was on the shoulder off the road and another semi I was waiving to slow down at swerved off the road and ran him over with all 9 tires right in front of me.I'm not sure if he was still alive but the collar was working still so I was hoping to be able to save him.People just aren't right in the world today. When I pulled him to the woods and got my collars he was cut up from the hog.He was a Damn good dog.Ended up catching one more boar in the afternoon.Ole Birdy dog.

Thanks fellas yeah it's definitely a bad deal but part of it I reckon. We do the best we can to keep em safe I can tone or shock em off a track but he was on that hog and wasn't coming off no matter what.We put in a couple miles off that highway just the way it goes.
