I have used both in the past.  Today I still feed Black Gold.  If I could afford it, I would feed Purina.

From what I noticed the Diamond (maroon) made the stool very mushy.  It made them mess constantly.  Of the two "Black Gold" has it in my kennels.

it takes a long time for most dogs to get used to diamond from what ive seen.

I've used diamond performance for years. It is the green bag.  I must have tried at least 10 others, but I always went back to diamond.  Over the last year the price has went up and to me it seems the quality went down.  I have never tried black gold, but I find diamond is better than any other I've tried.

We fed diamond for about a year and toward the end we were having problems, allergies to something in the feed and very loose stools on some. The ones with alleries developed sores and itched, put them on a all raw diet and with in 10 days a noticable difference. So we switched and feed raw meat a couple times a week and bones too. Dogs look and feel better.

I JUST HAD A GYP DROP PUPPIES TWO WEEKS AGO, SO I WAS GOING TO SWITCH HER TO DIAMOND 31% CAUSE I ALWAYS FEED SPORTSMIX 24-20.  FIGURED THE MORE PROTEIN THE BETTER   WELL.....  I COULDNT GET HER TO PASS A SOLID TERD FOR NOTHING. FOR 1 WEEK AND A HALF ALL IT WAS, WAS LOOSE.  SO I SWITCHED HER BACK TO SPORTSMIX AND WITHIN 2 DAYS SHE IS BACK WITH A SOLID STOOL.  PLUS I ONLY HAVE TO FEED 2 CUPS TO MY DOGS ONCE A DAY TO KEEP THEM UP ON SPORTSMIX AND IT IS ONLY 20.66 CENTS A 50 POUND BAG.

Diamond 24/20 is mainly non digestable protien. Black Gold is about 96% digestable. The differnce in price is#1 ingredients and byproducts. If you feed Diamond green is their best.

I use to feed Diamond in the maroon bag.  I now feed Retriever high protein and the dogs look good and will run all night. $21.00 for a 50 pound bag.

I have fed diamond premium adult (green bag) for about 15 years. In those years I have tried many other feeds including blackgold. I have had to go back to the diamond to get a tight hard stool. I've been told to make a feed switch slow by mixing the feed before totally switching to a defferant feed. I've tried that and I've swiched suddenly and it still did'nt work. The only feed that I've fed other than diamond for any length of time and felt the dogs do good on it was evergreen performax but it's had to get here. Just my .02

Black Gold is the only one that stands behind every bag being 98% digestable. They also have a ten week chalange that if your dogs doesn't do better on there food they will refund all your money no questions asked.

I have been feeding the diamond (maroon) and have been noticing tht their stools have been coming out solid, but still pretty soft. Has anyone tried the Extreme dog fuel food?

The kennel run is good, I've fed a couple tons of piper feed with not much problems.  But that strongpoint didnt do well with my dogs or any of my friends dogs.  They did good for awhile, but eventually some just quit eating it all together.  Just giving you the heads up before you go out and buy a pallet of strongpoint.  Wish someone would have told me before, I had to mix the last few bags just to get the dogs to eat it and they still picked through it.

I pay 25 from a dealer. Black gold I'd the best I have found.
I have seen the diamond is not consistent from bag to bag.
