I did mine this past summer. A couple of them need touched up. I wish I would have just done one letter because all he had was the 3" brands. The 2" would have worked perfect.

I ain't 100% for sure but from little i have read about it and been told that you have to leave the brand on them long enough that the hair will not grow back

The hair don't turn black on a white dog. Leaving it longer kills the hair follicles and leaves a scar like a hot brand.

Not necessarily, it depends on the base color of the dogs skin. It could just be a pink scar instead of black.

Pittsburgh foundry I think it was around 100 with shipping and I got pretty quick I sent them a pic of my brand they drew it up to size I wanted and sent it to me I gave them the go ahead and I had it in a week

Thanks for the info I went on the site and filled out my order request.The site is very informative on the entire process thanks again.
Letemroll go on the site and they explain everything you need to know the metal does matter for freeze branding and not so much heat branding from what I gathered.

I was told if you do the ear make sure to thaw it out afterwards because it can get frost bite and rot
