Well Friday evening me, my brother, and our buddy decided to go hit 300 acres right on I-10  that I have, hadn't hunted there in months and hogs were supposed to be around. Hunted there and no dice. No sign, nothing. Kate hunted damn good just wasn't nothing around and I wouldn't let her cross the county road like she wanted. Picked up and went and casted kate at another ranch where I had corned the road a few days ago. She cold trailed for what seemed like an hour. Started getting way out there and she lost it, came back tried to rig some hay fields. Nada. Got hit a 3rd spot, cast, nothing, 4th spot nada. Pull into my driveway at 4:30 am Saturday. A game of Xbox later and 5:50 am I was pulling into pilot to meet a guy from Lubbock to go hunting again. Kicked out at dawn. Dogs blow and go, Kate hits 550-600 and acts piggy then phils 2 dogs are out and running their own tracks. Phils major dog struck, dogs honored. Had an good bay and my dizzy gyp went in there and blew it out. Must have been a group cause dogs got strung all out. About an hour later ever thing makes it's way back, send them hunting again and Kate goes right over to the area where major struck and gets bayed. Major goes and they're singing, scout shows and they try him and decided best to sit back and bay lol, dizzy showed and I guess tied that pigs nikes back on for him cause he started running. Lost him again after an hour. Dogs go back to hunting a while and ole Kate and major heads to big daddy's house(boar that killed my pancho pup and I had caught last weekend and couldn't get him killed) well they go about 200 yards behind his bed and bump him off a feeder he ran about 300 yards to 30 head of angus cattle and bayed in the middle. As we're busting ass trying to catch dizzy and scout before they go bust this bay, by time we get close as we can to send bulldogs. Guy who owns the cows had come out and I guess thought we were baying his cows cause he came whooping and hollering and screwed everything up, big hog got away. Dogs come back  and we go to cast in to last set of woods for morning. Dizzy stayed in the box, Kate, major, and scout go hunting. Major and Kate got about 300 and were looping hard, I told my brother be ready, first bark send the Bulldogs. And all the sudden major and scout were back to me and Kate was looping behind me, Kate looped out into the hay pasture. Came back into woods, was about 190 in front of me and gave it 2 good loops and at 159 yards she started talking. I grabbed scout and let major go to Kate. Major shows, gives 3 barks and they try him, and major got wrecked. They back up and bay, spot and weezy get there and get him hemmed up and we get in there to find a damn nice 180 lb boar pig hung by the ears. Wanted to Barr him since he was a nice solid hog, but he had already attempted to Barr phils major dog(and cut him about 15 other times)so we had to get the heck out of the woods and piece major back together. Kate rolled hard after that boar but didn't come up with nothing. This Kate gyp of mine, I believe she is the real deal, sure not the best, but I'll be damned if she ain't a hog dog. Got a hell of a nose for a cur dog and her drive and motor are 2nd to very few I've seen. Paid attention to the garmin hard between all the hunting and Kate did around 35 miles in 15 hours. Needless to say she is stoved up haha. She burned it down and I think is gonna raise my standards a lot on what I will and won't feed. PROPS to phils dogs! He brought his 2 B team dogs and they hunted really well too, in country they've never hunted to boot.(he's from Lubbock)https://vimeo.com/197015309 https://vimeo.com/197015441
Dogs worked their asses off for us to get that hog caught and we were really pleased. Wish I had a picture of the garmin about 600 acre worth of just woods colored in.

He was full of piss and vinegar. Kinda pissed off at myself for killing him. Had every intention of cutting him and turning loose. I complain about not catching big hogs but I kill every 200lber I come across.
