Anyone using the new Astro 430? Does the bark meter work when tracking a TT 15 collar?
Thanks
Greg

It's a 320 revamped to track the tritronics collars and up to 20 dogs except you can only track them, not train. Bark detect should work on all collars with bark detection enabled. To me it's a big gimic to keep their name in the conversation till they can come up with something that will beat the alpha which is gonna be hard to do in my book.

Have any of yall tried the virb camera with the alpha? How exactly does that work? I was told it can do live footage, is that true?

I haven't used the 430. I read the specs and I believe Slim is correct about it being a slightly improved version of the Astro 320. - I have the Alpha and I really like it. The only improvements I can see would be to offer a simplified version of the software customized for dog hunters. Make it easier to change display settings, easier to set up geofences and proximity alerts, evaluate the way finding & track route features. It seems like there are a few too many gadgets and tools available on the current software and user interface for the guy who simply wants to see where his dogs are. Seems like Garmin could make $ off the software upgrades for users who prefer more options. JMO - I also realize the handheld wasn't built for a specific narrowly defined customer.

Same here. I had bark detection on my 320 when I had the dc50's. I tried turning P Wilson on the other night but couldn't figure it out again.

We have been using the 430 for about four months. Really like it, the bark detection work on the dc50s. I upgrade from a320. It works like a Alfa except no shocking capabilities. I like the fact I can track up to 20 dogs. So if we hunt with someone who uses a Alfa, I can track their dogs too
