When it's on map and u zoom it n to look at it after a little while like say a minute or two later it's zoomed out to like 8miles. U have to zoom back to say 250 yards or so. Then n a few minutes it's back to a longways out. I no there is a setting to fix this i can't remember

Look on your map menu & find zoom to dogs. If it is on, turn it off.
Same thing on contacts. If you have paired your Alpha up with a friends it might say zoom to contacts. turn it off. That should do it.
