We got asked earlier in the week if we minded taking a Vietnam Veteran from Iowa hunting with us this weekend. We of course told them that it wouldnt be a problem and we would meet them sometime after church. We decided to take 3 grown dogs and 3 young dogs because we have a big hunt Thursday. Kicked em out about 1:30 n shortly there after Booger fell bayed, and all of the other dogs honored it. We go in and I pump Mr. Mike up to leg the hog (he was reluctant) and I knifed a big ol sow. From there the dogs relayed to .67 where sugar bayed. Harley, Booger, and Prissy honored it and we finally meander our way through the swamp to find the smallest hog of the day on the edge of a canal ditch. Send Patches and Sheba n caught hog. The whole time we were going to that bay it kept showing Nelly and Abby bayed. Drug the hog to the wheeler trail, hopped on the bikes, and started heading 1.03 miles towards Nelly. For those of you who don't know Nelly is my baby and is loose baying, but Abby, Nelly's 14 month old daughter, is caught at every bay i go to. I was worried about Abby trying to catch and Nelly joining in. We finally make it over there and i can only hear Abby baying. This made me get in a hurry until i heard Nel open about 150 yards from there. Send the Dogo's and my cousin-in-law legs another big sow, and Mr. Mike gets his first knife kill. Nelly and Abby worked that big sow for a little over 30 minutes. You could see where they had her spinning. We decided to call it a day n head in before dark.
