We got to finally go hunt a big place over in Livingston Sunday morning. We kind of bee bopped around all morning looking for tracks. Finally just went to casting and two of Casey's male dogs Jed and Wimp trailed out around 600 yards at one point and found a mean little boar hog about 150#'s. He had about 1.5" stilettos that cut the bulldog down  and gutted Jed. We got gathered back up and to the truck at 12:30. We decided to head after some barrs that had been showing up on covert. We wanted and should have started over there at daylight to make it easier on the dogs but we wanted to go to Livingston bc it was our first ever trip there and we've been trying to get over there for a year or so.  Any ways we get back around 2:30-3 and cut some of the same older dogs loose and man they go to work beating the bushes. This was about 300 acre so thick you couldn't walk through. The dogs were working slow, squiggly slow lines all over the garmin, looking like an old lady tried to draw their tracks with shaky hands. Dogs pulled out to Cayenne barking, I still don't know what the heck she was doing. We went back into the plantation and went back to work. I guess about another hour or so and ruby was showing bayed and you could hear her bark ever 30 seconds or so real soft. I guess one or two more dogs got there and all hell broke loose. They ran around in that thicket for about 30 minutes when the first one finally pulled out, crossed 10 yards from the truck and left with Ruby and Taylor sticking to him. The other dogs stayed in the thicket and were still running and grinding on the second one probably another 15 minutes before the big put on his nikes and left. By then the first two gyps were bayed at just under a Mile and half away. We are able to drive about 50 yards from them and sent a bulldog on in. It got western quick as he broke and made it about 50 yards, he flung my bulldog about 4 feet over his head as I'm closing in to catch this sob. I about face at 3 yards as he is now coming to me, then I stumble lol. Luckily the bulldog caught and spun him again. Casey bull rushed him and got a leg. We both were laid out holding a leg trying like hell to not let him go back in the creek. We got him pulled up and tied. Heard back and we meet the other guys and it's showing the other 4 gyps bayed at 1.8 the other direction. A long walk in and this sucker was even ranker. We sent two bulldogs and he knew the deal, he wrecked the first one and was spinning on a top. Casey had him caught but he spun out so he flanked him only to have the wrecked bulldog regroup on the back of his damn arm. Hog broke loose running through Marshall as he ran down his back like a log in the creek. He barely made it another 30 yards before we all piled on him. Pretty good little hunt, we were needing some good sausage hogs and these two fit the bill. 297# on the smaller hog and 337# on the bigger one. Great hunt with Casey, Marshall, Nick and Brittney.

Since I let y'all use Ruby that day, and she found them, how much sausage do I get out of this? Grin Grin Grin

Ribs are on ice and sausage is being made in a week or two lol!

Ruby definitely earned them, the Barr hogs had left that feeder at 4am that morning and it was around 4 the next day she finally found them. She had trailed in there originally and was grinding but went to cayenne; once we got back gathered up she went right back in there a finally found them after about an hour.

He's at dr Mary. I haven't heard from Casey on how he was doing, I don't think any of the guts were punctured.

I've caught skinned, quartered, and dropped off big barrs at the processor for you for the last couple years. The last one I delivered the sausage to your house! You think these will be any different?

Thanks Casey, with TShelly, I don't have any expectations. Married life has him consumed, he couldn't even bring the ribs to town or to my house when he returned Ruby!
