Kevin O. was nice enough to have Mike, Matt, Craig, Chris, Mandi, Kevin A and myself up for a hunt this weekend.  Had a great time with some great people and great dogs. The hunting was good, we ended up with two decent boar hogs.  I tried to spend as much time as I could in a tree since I was just babysitting and as the old saying goes, didnt have a dog in this hunt  Grin  Hope to meet up with ya'll and hunt again soon.  Heres a couple of pics.  thanks again kevin for having us!

First boar...

Second boar..

I thought this made a cool pic..

Michael, I sure did enjoy this weekend. It was good to see you, Kevin and Craig again. It was also good to see Kevin O. again... it's been about 6 years since he and I have hunted togther. His family has a beautiful ranch up there and are all super nice people. Kevin O. thanks again for having everyone up this weekend and Kevin A. thanks for setting this hunt up.

I only took a few pics, but I think Chris and Mandi got some real nice pics of the ranch with their good camera.

Friday evening's boar.

I don't know how to thank yall enough for putting this together.  I have been lucky enough to hunt all over the state and I have seen some beautiful country but man, this place took the cake!  I think my favorite part of the trip though was the company, good people who I would hunt with again anytime and are just fun to hang around.  Good people, dogs, country, couldn't ask for more than that. I may be a Texan but I will hunt in Okie land again in a heartbeat  Grin

A weekend that's hard to beat... filled with friends both old and new, good dogs, beautiful country, and a couple nice hogs to boot.  Thanks for the invite, I really enjoyed spending the weekend with y'all.

Looks like a good time indeed.  That ranch is an awesome place.

Man that's a nice looking grill there to.

Hope the dogs did well and hope that little pup works out for you.  I got the other one in North Texas and hes off my female Kevin has and his lyle dog so should be a nice athletic size for you.

Looks like only thing missing from that hunt was me..lol

It was an awesome time, and HUGE thanks to Kevin O and Kevin A for the invite and the good old fashioned southern (or was it western?) hospitality. The ranch ranks up there as one of the most scenic I've been on, and I just loved Mr O Neal (Kevin's dad). He has some neat stories, and his adventures with Bison and Long-a-lo had me wishing I had been there to see all the action!

Kevin A, "Whetto" got to come about with me feeding the animals last night. As well, he helped Chris weld up some racks on the smoker pit. Think he will fit in well here, and hopefully he will make a good playmate for a certain BAD showdog puppy I have acquired.

Cheers!

Enjoyed the company.  Its always a good time up there.  I think they proabably have the nicest place in Grady county.  I'm just glad we were able to catch a hog.  They seem to travel a lot up there and are hard to find at times.

Mandi, I'm sure your pup will do fine.  He seems pretty well mannered, I'm not to sure about you show pup, he sounds like a handful.

Those pics of the steep-and-deep just don't do justice.

Kevin,

Us flatlanders were up there looking down on Steep and Deep in disbelief. I know there was at least one "Oh Crap" in the truck. Mike surfed the flatbed all the way through it. I'm pretty sure Chris' offer to go it on foot "to take pictures" was just so he could get the truck on film when it flipped over coming up the other side. You have to respect someone who wants to make sure every event is chronicled for posterity  Grin

Show puppy Reagan has been very quiet since Whetto came onto the place. I don't know if he thinks he's now a big brother or if he has been replaced!

Cheers!

It was a pleasure having all of you and I really enjoyed some company for a change.  I appreciate all the comments on the land, I'll be sure to pass those on to my dad.  That land is the love of his life.....besides my mother.  Grin

I sure enjoyed it and all of you are welcome back anytime.
