Kicked out with 2 friends this morning after last night tying a decent boar Rhett's house dogs hemmed up in the cut grain behind his house while we were outside shooting the bull. Barred him and hope to see him again some day. So went this morning thinking maybe there was some more hogs with him. Hunted a good ways. Dang near to the end of where we can go since it's deer season. Dogs acted a little piggy and bailed of into a tree line while we were watching 3 bucks run about 6-7 does around. My gyps just kept Yo-Yoing back and forth up and down that tree line but couldn't come up with nothing. Sloan finally come up in to the pasture, threw her nose and tucked back in and started blowing up. My Sketch and Rhett's rocky pup get in there and there are singing to him right nice like. I get in there and go to talk my gyps back, they listen well enough but rocky being 5 months old was just lost in the moment and baying his head off which was good to see. Well me hollering "back up" got this hog antsy and he sized them dogs up a little and mowed rocky down and tried to go running until he had a brindle dog hung off his hind end about 50 yards later. He bayed right back up. Got in there and took the first clean shot I had. He was a sure enough hoss. Top 3 on teeth I've ever caught.
house dogs hog. Caught by a yellow lab and a bulldog who isn't serviceable as a woods catchdog.

Thanks guys. We were stoked to get one that nice and the dogs worked him as good as I could ask. My 2 gyps ain't nothing special just yet but they are getting it done, and Rhett's rocky pup at 5 months old is showing some big time promise and I'm proud of them... even if they make it look really hard sometimes
