Posting for a friend. We were hunting outside od Decater last night. Dogs bayed in a canyon across the line and we could not get to them. One of my buddies dogs didn't come back.

Red catahoula. Orange bay vest, black cut collar. Please keep an eye out for him if your in that area.

May be a silly question, but did he have a number on the collar?  Looks I will be hunting around decatur soon.  I will keep my eyes and ears open.

I'm pretty sure he has a collar with tags under his gear, he usually does.  His name is budroux.

Thanks Justin

He has a name plate on. It sucks to lose a dog and I hope he finds him.

Whereabouts in Decatur?  Got a spot over there where I can have a couple people keep their eyes peeled.

Yeah that was us. Will do for sure. I dont know the road but if your coming from from fort worth on 287 take a right on 380 then I think it is your first or second left. Crossed Denton creek and was about 3 miles on the left. Thanks for looking out guys.

Dogs was found. Thanks to everyone who was on the lookout. Kind of a shady deal. My buddy put out some flyers and went and talked to a few ranchers. A few people knew a guy who found that dog and gave him a call. He called my buddy and said he found the dog while he was doggin. Was asking how he hunted and how many pigs he has been on. Man said he didnt have any cutgear on or collar so he picked him up and was even hunting him a few days. My buddy was just glad to get him back and didnt want to make a big deal about it but seemed weird to me all his gear and name tag fell off. So any of you guys that hunt around Greenwood be careful. Take care.

Glad you found the dog, but seems kinda shady that a dog was able to undo all his gear and take it off! All in all, you can buy new gear, but you cant replace the dog to an exact T. Still sucks that the gear is gone!

Sounds to me like some prick took all the gear and anybody who would hunt a hog dog that was found and not try to contact the owner is a shallow person in my book.

I find it hard to believe that he didn't know that the dog was a lost hog dog. He must not have anything worth a crap, if he's trying to hunt a dog he found. Freakin' idiot...
