I currently use liquid Ivomec and either safeguard or strongid wormer each month. Would the conserve take the place of the safeguard/strongid?
No sir... it’s only for fleas.

The stuff works and is going to save me a number 2 load of money in the long run. Thanks guys, if you're ever in the North Central Florida area let me know and I'll take ya doggin with me. Thanks again.
I might take you up on that offer, might be making a trip over there in the next month or so and try out some of the WMA’s, have you ever hunted any of them, I’ve been looking at some around Santa Rosa and escambia counties... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Goose,
I'm closer to Mallory Swamp WMA, those areas you named are pretty far from me. I'm near Branford/Mayo area. Shoot me a message if you want to come.

Wait till it’s been a month, then treat them again. Shake the bottle very well and be sure to give it with feed.

If some of you want to go a bit cheaper, I use dominion 2L. I use it sort of like frontline 2-3cc at tail and neck. Active ingredient is imidacloprid, same as advantix. I put it on once per week till fleas are gone... usually 1-2 treatments. Around $20 of 20oz

Swine stalker...that dominion 2l has a 21.4% concentration of Imidacloprid...I have 3 bottle 32 oz bottles of it but have not had to use any...I will use them for treating termites one day...been sitting in the shelf for 2 or 3 years now...I thought about using it on my dog but got cold feet on account of the high concentration...
When I did the calculation I needed to use (I think) 1.5 cc's or mils of this product but never did...
Martins dominion also sold one at TSC for about 12 buck at one time and it was like 7% or so...I bought one bottle and then gave it to my brother...and when I went to buy another they didn't sell it anymore...
Martins Dominion tree I shrub is 1.47% and that is 24 bucks which and the Dominion 2l is 20 bucks of a lot more product...
sounds to me that 2-3 cc's is still safe by what you are saying...
I have been spraying my yard with another product that has worked well for me...I use it twice a year to kill mosquitos and it kills every fire ant as a bonus and any other bug (not a good thing)...I spray dog houses and kennels and since the dogs haven't had fleas...I think I have skipped a year and it still works but I really can't say for sure why if it is that product or a wormer I use...regardless I haven't used Imidacloprid products since.....I have several different brands of topical spray bottles of Imidacloprid topical but haven't used any like I already mentioned...
I sold a six month old pup a couple months back that I never treated for fleas so the pup is about 8 months old now...The owner called me last week and wanted to know what I had given the pup because all his dogs had fleas and the pup I sold him didn't have any...for forty bucks I spray the back yard and front yard...keeps killing for many months and repels mosquitoes for a month or two...my house sits on two lots...
I won't post it but you can PM me if you want to try it...

Several years back when I was using the 1.47% imidacloprid the calculation I came up with was about 13 cc’s for a 40- 60 pound dog...

So I got me some of the conserve last month after reading this thread. Man it worked good on the big dogs and I only gave em 3cc for 50lb or so dogs. Question is to you guys that have been using it for a while. How old do you let pups get before using it on em? It’s got a pretty strong smell and by the reactions of the dogs tastes about the same as it smells. They were def giving second thoughts about swallowing it on that pc of bread but they did...lol

Obie I give it to my gyps with pups as young as 2 weeks old, I've given it to the pups themselves at 7 weeks old, just 1cc, it is pretty strong smelling stuff and I imagine if giving in extreme amounts it can be lethal and fatal but it's labeled for organic farming applications and is naturally derived from the earth...
