Mike Bolen’s Jase dog passed away last Saturday and without a doubt will be missed.

Jase not only got us on hogs big and small , but he got a lot of people on their first hog . He also sired dogs that are now finding hogs and also showing lots of promise to hopefully become the hog dog he was.

Thanks y’all... yes sir Muddy, it sucks real bad. Several years back I lost 9 in a about a 2 year period. My last 2 grown dogs were killed on the same hunt about 30 minutes apart. That left me with 2 pups at home... Jase and his sister Sally. I was ready to throw in the towel and hang it up after that. A good friend of mine sent me a gyp out of the same family of dogs and that sure helped getting those 2 going good. Once Jase made the cut I bred him back to his aunt... and then again a year later. A couple more crosses were made in this family of dogs, so I should be in good shape for a while with these youngsters.

Sure hate you lost him Mike, he was a fine hog dog and a pleasure to hunt with. Glad you got plenty of young dogs to keep things rolling. I'm about to get some extra pork in the woods pen if you need to bring some down and get them started good.
