I’ve seen lots of deer move in the rain and had tons of game cam pics of them at the feeders while it’s pouring down. If you have a nice dry stand, give it a chance... you can’t kill them at the house haha.

People associate weather with having a big impact on deer movement when that’s actually the least important factor, they have to eat and breed regardless of the weather conditions, pay more attention to the solunar tables ( moon phase), I’ve killed more deer and caught way more fish by basing my strategies off those times, this past week has been the peek time this month for animal movement, I’ve been watching deer all week out of my shop at work, and every time we seen them this week it correlated with the feeding periods on the solunar table almost to the exact times, heck I have an app on my phone that I’ll look at every time I see deer or other wildlife out and about and I just about always bet the farm that the peak feeding times will be within the hour or so, I’ve always heard that if you see cattle laying down the deer weren’t moving and if you see cattle up eating the deer are stirring, so I check my chart whenever I see a field of cattle grazing and again it’s within an hour or two of the peak feeding times, about the only time I still hunt is during our rut, and this year I’m going hunt exclusively by the times on the solunar table....

Deer move rain or shine...like already mentioned, feeding times are good to use...the colder the weather the more they move...keeping warm in cold weather consumes more energy/calories...so deer move around more due to feeding more...the rut....they go crazy, especially the young bucks...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...
