Welp just like it reads I just recently got a male bluetick who penis is always out except when he goes actully into the woods. Ive hunted him saturday by himself and as soon as i put him in the dog box to water him heis penis was half way out ...even at the house he is the same way ... i do notice he cleans its often

I have heard of something like this before. Cannot remember exactly what the cause was but I want to remember something about something being twisted or his knot got restricted or something and the dog had to have his man hold chopped off and they rerouted his urethra. I would definitely see a vet if the dog means or could mean anything to you

About 45 years ago I had a Bluetick pup 8-10mths old with that problem and his voice got real hoarse also, a veterinarian put him on prednisone and some other hormone and he straightened up on both counts.

I’m not trying to be funny so keep that in mind;
I had a hound years ago who developed this same issue, Eventually I discovered that he was humping himself in the mouth several times per day. That’s what was causing the swelling. After MUCH laughter I wrapped him in an old towel for a couple weeks and I guess he kicked the habit
