Set at my bow stand yesterday evening after work. This big ol toothy boar came in for a brief visit but left a little quicker and louder than he came. He made a half circle and laid down and died. Probably went 80 yards but really only died about 60 yards from me. I was listening to him and could tell he had stopped and was hold up and gonna make his peace just a few yards from me. Took him about 20 minutes to expire. I didn't hit him where I was wanting but it all worked at. I got down after about 10 minutes if not hearing him anymore and proceeded through the briars in search of him with a pistol. Fortunately when I come up on him in the fading light he had already breathed his last and there was no further excitement. Guessing he weighed well into the upper 200s. Fun hunt, I don't shoot them with bows much anymore but used to be my preferred way of hunting them before I started hunting and catching them with RCDs
