On the quest to be a dog man.

Does anybody know what he’s up to these days? I always enjoyed reading his posts, I saw he hasn’t been active since 2018. I know he always blacked out his face in pictures for work so I figured he is an operator or in another government agency like the CIA. Hopefully he is doing well. I don’t think I ever talked to him much on here, but liked reading his thoughts on breeding and was interested in his straight catch project.

I think he got busy with life and got out of hunting. Haven’t talked to him in couple years, but he was a helluva nice guy... we hunted together several times.

I gotcha, it sounded like he bred some real nice dogs. I remember reading a post he had about the first two dogs that he ever got that were the foundation for his breeding. Maybe one day he’ll hop on here again

Guess better late than never boys!

Defiantly been busy with kids, cows and a few ole mangy Yeller dogs.  Haven't got out of the game just slowed down a hair.

Actually surprised alot of the gang is still on here.  Hope everyone is doing well and appreciate the kind words. FYI still can't show my face or come off area 51, but the CIA is treating me well!   Lol

Also to answer your question Austesus. Yes we did accomplish the Yeller catchdog project to my satisfaction a few years ago. We successfully bred straight yeller dogs that were No bark, No Bay. Led them on leashes same as bulldogs and caught great with them. Unfortunately we lost the true finished product dogs in the line of duty and I haven't had the time to put back into the project to recreate them again.

We did have to cull exceeding hard to keep some from falling back after taking a beating but the end result I would have followed into a Rhinoceros Ralley!  Cool project and I highly recommend trying if you get the time.

Awesome to see you back on here! I read quite a few of your posts when I first got on here several years ago. I figured you were in the CIA or SOF community since you said one time that you had to blur your face due to work. How are your current dogs doing? Any upcoming breedings? Hopefully we get to see you join in some discussions again!

Well hello stranger! Next time the CIA sends you to Htown, come make a round with us. It’s still the Wild West in the hood.

Yes actually we have been in some heavy discussions lately on making some line breeding with a couple of my close friends that keep this same blood. Have been doing alot of researching these lines in the last few years as well and have uncovered a few old Thicket lines I was unaware of still existed. Couple more I located that I am still trying to validate. Really cool stuff in the Yeller dog world these days my friend. Just need the Timber time to apply the research.

Mike.......Yea buddy I have been slipping in and out of your area lately but all business.  I have went through couple phones since I last spoke at ya. Shoot me your number again on PM when ya get a chance and I might try to drop in on you boys and attempt to change your colorblind ways! Lol
