Pretty decent hog me and the ol lady caught a few weeks ago , I went and picked up an older dog from a buddy of mine he told me dog didint have a whole lot of hunt and he was slow but if he opened his mouth better get the bulldog ready. We dumped him and our young plow pup on an old logging road a few hours before dark and started walking them and weren’t getting much more than 100 yards out of them , so we made a wide loop and head back in the general direction of the truck and stop to see what they will do. Plow comes flying by nose down and he’s gone out to about 500 and this new dog did the same but stopped at 150 on the other side of us soon as we went to start walking he let out one heck of a locater bark then went to chopping 3-4 barks and stop 3-4 barks stop I look at the system and he’s 80 yards and closing look up and the hogs right on top of us just walking so I unsnap kilo and he heads to him hog breaks about 50 yards and kilo puts the whoa on him. About the time we tie him plow shows back up from what he was doing we tie all the dogs back take a few pictures and send the hog on his way.

Your buddy didn't tell you the old dog would bring the hogs to you I guess. That's why he doesn't hunt out deep. These are WILD hogs and he doesn't want to have to drive themso far.

Wish it happened like that more often lol! I like letting my bulldog meet up with one like that
