My little buddy bred him to his gyps got some puppies out of him that just turned year old first of October the ones he raised are catching and people that got that stay in touch with him there's are catching hopefully I am going to look at a young yella gyp full pit maybe she works out I can put ol buck over her

Shotgun that was a good story. Dogs like that are hard to find now. I don’t think it’s because they aren’t out there I think it’s because so much of the other types being bred that they are flooding the market so to speak. If these folks ever had the pleasure to hunt with these types most of them would see the difference and never be satisfied with the other type again. Some won’t ever see because no matter what they just can’t see.

I think maybe I’ve told this story before but I’m gonna tell it for those who haven’t read it. My dad and I had litter mate brothers that were a lot like ole Watch. Dad’s dog’s name was Gator. He was 95 pounds of brains and athlete. He lived to play ball and I don’t care what size or shape dog you let play ball with you, they couldn’t out run Gator to the ball and they couldn’t out last him. My dad had game chickens and homing pigeons and Gator stayed with them. If a rooster got loose Gator would get between him and whichever other rooster he was trying to fight and keep them separated. It might get to the point where the rooster would be soaking wet from Gator having to mouth him but wet is all he would be. He wouldn’t be hurt at all. He would not kill a chicken or a pigeon but killed two hawks and an owl. He had to tear into the pigeon pen through the wire to kill the owl but he got it lol. If it didn’t belong in the chicken yard it wouldn’t be there, or it was waiting for you when you came out. The first hog he ever saw he smashed like he had been doing it all his life. He understood every word you spoke and minded better than most kids. His brother Zeus was the exact same way. I could tell him sit, stay, lay, go get in the truck, get on the wheeler, get in the bath tub, go get on your blanket, etc. My favorite was going out in the pasture and the horses and cows being up at the gate. I would leave the gate open and you know horses and cows are going where the grass is greener as soon as you clear it. Well, I would just tell Zeus, you stay here and don’t let them out. They would come up and you’d hear that ole low deep growl and they’d turn back. He was a snake killing fool too. The point I’m trying to make is if you get dogs that have brains and the right disposition all that you gotta do is spend time with them.
