We got a late start this morning with all the rain and all.  Seem like we ain’t seen the sun in a week down here.   Turned em out in some sign that was rained in but they
worked it out and found a smart and old one at that.  As I was looking at the tracks it was making on the Garmin.  I thought I was back in our lease or one of them old smart daddy didn't marry mommys had followed us down to where we were.   It started running its backtrack and I guess thought it had out smarted them but they snuck up not saying nuthin and put it up bayed almost 5 miles on there feet later.  It died tired.    Lol.

Thank y’all.  I was picking at Mike about his dogs last week.  I told him they ain’t got to be pretty to be hog dogs.    But they ain’t gotta be ugly neither.  Lol.

It's always nice to have hogdogs that are easy on the eye. Good dogwork and good hog.  I am ready for it to dry out a little bit.

Pretty dogs are like a pretty woman lol. They mess up and you want to forgive them. The ugly ones know they’re on a short leash.

Luke,,, their daddy is off of Mr. Mikes old Bosco dog,,, the one that ur buddy has I believe we talked about... These two are brothers out of Cajun,, Weems ,, Shamrock.. they are 2 and half yrs old now.. I just had a litter of pups out of the one on the left over the summer,,  got a male pup Im fixin to start this spring ,, I hope he is as smart as he is showing me now...  IM knocking on wood right now but if hes like his daddy he is gonna be a hammer for my son to keep on with..   That male dog don't get even a knick on him since he stepped foot in the woods,,,  He knows exactly how much pressure to put on each hog to stop him and bay him..  track specific with this male.. he runs it in between his legs and sneaks up the back door silent on em…NO QUIT cast dog that don't cold trail for 30 min before jumping the hog.I told my son I would've swam the Mississippi backwards and forwards to have one like that when  I was his age..  LOL... them men like Mr. Mike,, and others who combined the right dogs to make em like this sure helped us younger folks..

L.h...the good ones have gotten real hard to find.  I didnt mean to poke at anyone.

Toby and I have had lots of conversations about this.

I always had the ones I had to find the hogs for.  Not them find em for me.  Hehehe.
