Sadly i have heard news that Mr. Monty Bennet is no longer with us. He was a big part of this page years ago when i was an active member and he was one of the first guys on here to jump at the opportunity to take a good buddy of mine hunting when he got out of the navy and moved to Dallas. Wish i could have personally thanked him for that gesture all those years ago. He will be missed by many. Happy trails Monty.

Ol’Monty was a good one for sure! Haven’t talked to him in a long time but back when I was running dogs he never said no when I’d call him to load up. Had some good times with him, he will be missed for sure!

Sure hate to see this...he was to young to go, just shows you that everyone’s days are numbered, so love the family and enjoy the dogs, and the rest will take care of itself.

God and Family are our only two guarantees in life. Love them both cause you never know when it’s your number that’s up. I didn’t know Mr. Monty but I have read his posts. Hope the best for his family.

Man I hate to hear that. I know he had some jam up yella dogs from what I read. I actually was trying to look up some of his old posts a few weeks ago just to look at the dogs. I never got to talk to him but it sounded like he was a great dog man.

I only met him once, nice guy but yes very young to die. Ill tell a funny story in his memory from the one time i met him. He was shooting a dog up with antibiotics on the tailgate before we dropped, and I inquired as to why since it wasn't cut. He said this is a gritty dog that gets cut every hunt so I give it ABs b4 every hunt since Im usually to tired after to mess with it lol. It was a dry run...
