Nope but I woulda paid whatever it Cost because replacing him is impossible. My Old School Russian vet had the corrona and couldn't do the surgery so I had to go to a yuppie City vet they were looking down their noses at me because he was the first working dog they'd ever had but I tell you one thing that young woman Dr. was extremely impressive and really knows her stuff. She did an all internal suture on his abdomen 12" long with zero drainage and you cannot see one suture the cut seemed like it was healed immediately zero redness or swelling.

Good hogs and dog work bud. Glad to hear your boy is still enjoying hunting with you. You dam sure showed how much you care for Hambone. I had a local woman vet look down her nose on me the first time or two I brought dogs to her. Over time she has become a lot friendlier and told me she now realizes there are hog doggers who actually take very good care of their dogs. I’m sure you left a positive impression on those yuppies in the city. - I was running 1 bay with one catch dog for a while last year. My bay dog started to help catch and I knew it was just a matter of time before a rank boar put me out of business. I went back to running 2 catch dogs to keep him alive. I understand exactly what you mean when you say Hambone can’t be replaced.

Man Cracker, glad you got him there in time. I’ve been sitting by the phone expecting ole Hambone to call any minute. Good dogs do good work and you proved that. Good to see that boy making a hand too. You’re living the dream my friend, great kid, great dogs, and tons of money!

Where did you take him? There used to be a good e-vet in Daytona. Don't think he is there anymore though.
I used to have a good reasonably priced country vet, But he got older and started to get signs of Alzheimers and sold his practice.
Found another vet and he is good....but he aint cheap!
Hopefully he is back at it again soon.

I ended up going with Vetrinary emergency center in Port orange they we're definitely not cheap but extremely impressive. My usual vet is Dr. Freeman at Sanford animal hospital but he was sick that night he's extremely reasonable and has helped me out for many years He still met with me that night and tried everything he could to figure out what the problem was fever , vomiting and all.Dr. Freeman was just to sick himself to perform the surgery himself and was very apologetic for having to send me to an emergency vet hospital.I left his office at 11pm and went to casselberey animal hospital they quoted me $5500.00 as a down payment I sat in the parking lot for 2.5hrs waiting on a room all the while Hambone was dieing and I was reading terrible google reviews on the place so I called the lady in Port orange and she said she'd have him in surgey ASAP so I got my x-rays back and hauled butt the 1.5hrs to her she met me in the parking lot and had him on an IV in minutes by 4am she had him in recovery.

Yeah I have a high opinion of Ol'Hambone too from reading and seeing the hog pictures, I hope he makes a full recovery, especially with the cost of the repairs. You know doctors and Veterinarians should refund when their repairs fail, they usually don't have lots of "supplies" involved, and unless they are a brand new clinic their equipment is many times over paid off so it's their knowledge and a little or a few hours time that you actually pay for.

I appreciate it y'all.
Old Man my normal vet Dr. Freeman would've charged me $300-500 guaranteed his office and equipment ain't the nicest but he's a good old school vet I get right in there and help him out working on my dogs but this place was more like a human hospital big fancy building the most advanced equipment available and a parking lot full of imported sports cars, when I went to pick him up Dr. said give me a call when you get to the parking lot and tell me the make and model of your vehicle lol I called and said I'm in the truck no need for make and model cause I was the only truck there.

Those are some good hogs cracker, I hope Hambone gets healed up fully. I have enjoyed reading about him and ol Dozer. I’ve said it before but Dozer sounds like he’s making a heck of a hand as well as that little chip eater you have.
