I figured I’d post a pic of this neat lookin boar we caught this morning. He’s not the biggest hog ever but he’s built like one should be. Good Russian look to him with a long snout and some sure enough shanks on him. - We hunted for about an hour and we’re not seeing any sign at all. We went down to a shallow tank that hogs Waller in from time to time. We saw a single set of tracks and a good rub on a couple trees. Rousty took the track about 400 yards and bayed in a nasty draw full of briars, post oaks & cedars. The hog walked on him for another 300 yards or so and settled into a plum thicket. He bayed for about 20 minutes while we got to him. Sent the catch dogs and the thicket went to shaking. No squealing, just rumbling. Got him stuck, checked all the dogs and didn’t get a scratch on anything. We were blessed this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nice hog. I'd appreciate some of that sunshine right now. Seems like all I've seen for the last 4 days is rain.

Thanks guys. - Cracker sadly I don’t have any pups from him. I bred him to a nice Bo Nutting bred female last August. She swoll up and was producing milk. Unfortunately she aborted about 10 days before she was due. Not sure what happened on that deal. He will be 5 in May. I’m on the lookout for a good one to cover with him. I’m seriously considering getting him collected. I’ve been in this spot before and I’m gonna screw around a loose the opportunity if I don’t get it done soon.
