We’ll have to settle for one boar hog on this cool morning up at the lease in north la.   We haven’t been up to the camp in a while so the 58 degree temps talked us in to it.  It is a puzzle to me though on where the hogs are all at up in this part of the country.  I’m still scratchin my head trying to figure out in the last 3 yrs what happened.   And it happened quick too.   We made a Barr out of him and kicked him loose.   Maybe he’ll tell the others we practice catch n release.  Lol.

Nice boar and hunt. Drove through the entire state (I-20) last week. Looked hoggy, but no sign off the road at all.

Glad it wasn’t completely a dry run but sure hate that y’all are having the numbers issue that you are. It sure makes you wonder what has happened to them.

Me and my son rode all evening yesterday looking at spots we could always find hogs and they just ain’t none.   Don’t know what’s gonna happen in that part of the country in the future for my boy to not struggle to run his dogs.  Worries me for sure.

Good hog Toby. We noticed the same thing a couple or so weeks ago when we went up to Larry's camp which is right down the road from you. The problem we have up there is the members of the club want them all dead but we sure have not hurt the population any. I know drop traps with cellular technology have put a dent in them at home down by the house. Even tho poison has not been allowed yet in La. it does make you wonder if the state is doing it and keeping it under wraps.

Is it just hogs that the numbers are down on or can y’all tell if other species ( like deer and yotes) are down in numbers?
